Mr. Wayne S. MOORE, P.E., S.E.
Principal
Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

Mr. Moore has a BS degree in Civil Engineering, an MS degree in Structural Engineering and is a multi-state Registered Professional Engineer and Structural Engineer. His experience spans over 30 years and has included preliminary/schematic (Title I) and final (Title II) analysis and design, construction administration/support (Title III) services, and expert witness services for government, industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential clients.

Mr. Moore is proficient in the static and dynamic analysis of structures subjected to natural phenomena (including wind and seismic) loads and has authored a publication entitled Wind Design Loads for Temporary Structures. He has analyzed and designed buildings and other structures using hot-rolled structural steel, cold-formed steel (CFS), aluminum, fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP), reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, and timber. He is a licensed HUD FHA Structural Inspector and is knowledgeable of all applicable building codes and criteria including the IBC and IRC as well as those developed by the ASCE, ACI, NCMA, AISI, CRSI, AASHTO, AITC, OSHA, USDOE, UFC, and AREA.

Mr. Moore is active in technical and civic organizations including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations, American Institute of Steel Construction, Rotary International, and the United Way.

Mr. Phillip D. HART,  P.E.
Civil/Structural Engineer

Mr. Hart has a BS degree in Civil Engineering Technology and is a registered professional engineer in GA, SC, and NC. He has over 11 years of experience in the design and analysis of new, renovated and restored sructures. This includes design and analysis for various commercial, residential, industrial, and government projects. He has been responsible for structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber design, seismic analysis, construction site inspections and field walk downs. Mr. Hart is adept at structural analysis software including STAADPro, Enercalc, ConCAD, BeamChek, NCMA Masonry and others. He is experienced with commercial building codes including IBC, IRC, UBC as well as other cited design criteria including those published by ASCE, ACI, NCMA, AASHTO, OSHA and AITC. Mr. Hart is a licensed IBC Chapter 17 Inspector in the state of South Carolina.

Mr. Jeffery M. BOYLES,  P.E.
Senior Civil/Site Project Manager

Jeffrey M. Boyles, PE, has a MS degree in Civil Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in NC and GA. He has over 36 years of experience, with 17 in engineering and 19 as the City of Mount Airy Public Works Director. His skills and responsibilities focused on water, sewer, wastewater, storm drainage hydrology, and design. He has helped plan and supervise numerous construction projects and expanded water and sewer systems. Mr. Boyles excels in leadership, management, innovation, and planning. He is active in the community of Mount Airy. Mr. Boyles is a Rotarian, served on the board of the local Habitat for Humanity, and volunteers at Surry Medical Ministries. He has received the Outstanding Public Service Award twice from the Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce and was declared the 2019 Professional Manager of the year by the APWA-NC Leadership Management Division.

Mr. John SMITH, E.I.T.
Junior Civil/Structural Engineer

John Smith has a BS in Civil Engineering with Structural Concentration. He is proficient in multiple software design programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Auto Desk. His experience includes performing structural analyses on guyed and unguyed (self-supporting) towers and tower foundation design.

Mr. Aric McBRIDE
Junior Mechanical/Structural Engineer

Mr. McBride has a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is knowledgeable of AutoCAD and MathCad software. He assists in projects involving mechanical/structural engineering such as static and dynamic seismic and wind analysis of HVAC equipment/curbing, electrical/telecommunications and mechanical equipment supports, motorized and non-motorized doors/supports as well as other building and non-building components/cladding and equipment.

Mr. Lawrence TAN 
CAD Designer

Mr. Tan has a BS degree in Architecture. He has over 18 years of design experience in multiple engineering disciplines including architectural, structural, electrical and plumbing. He is proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp. He is responsible for structural steel, cold-formed steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber design, technical specification writing, conceptual design and feasibility study report writing and construction site inspections.

Mr. Jonathan GRAY
Civil/Structural CAD Designer

Mr. Gray has an AS degree in General Technology with an emphasis in Industrial Drafting. He has almost 10 years of drafting and design experience in the civil engineering field. Mr. Gray is proficient in multiple software design programs including AutoCAD, Land Desktop, Civil 3D and ArcView 9.3. He is responsible for generating plans associated with civil/site and structural design.

Mrs. Lynne CHARLES
Office Administrator

Mrs. Charles has an AS degree in Applied Science with a major in accounting and a certificate in Business Management. She has over 13 years of office management and accounting experience. She also has experience as a certified safety coordinator. Mrs. Charles is proficient in QuickBooks, Peachtree, Oracle, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
